Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring a Cataloger to contribute to our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of bibliographic duties in a network environment, including original cataloging and bibliographic record upgrades for all formats. Cataloging is done according to national and international standards and practices as well as customer requirements. You'll function as part of a team of professionals and paraprofessionals in an office environment to ensure that outgoing materials meet company standards in terms of quality, timeliness, and quantity.The ideal candidate will have prior cataloging experience. This role has the option of working in one of two locations-LaVergne, TN; or Fort Wayne, IN.

Required Qualifications:

  • MLS/MLIS or directly related year for year experience
  • 3 years original cataloging experience at the professional or paraprofessional level in a library or library vendor setting
  • 1 year work experience using an integrated library system

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of RDA and AACR2 cataloging standards, LCSH, LC Dewey classification schedules, and MARC21/OCLC formats
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and task management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Catalogs materials in all formats in accordance with national and international standards and local requirements
  • Suggests improvements to workflow and enhancements to policies and standards for new materials and cataloging accounts.
  • Assists paraprofessionals with training and issues of quality and accuracy.
  • Stays informed of changes to bibliographic standards and policies, including those specific to Ingram's proprietary databases.
  • Meets production and quality goals and adheres to deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.

Hiring Salary Range:$57,155k-$71,232k.This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
