Apply Today Perform design and build functions for toolroom operations including repair and new build. Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday ; 8-hour shift Pay rate: $45-$52/hrdepending on experience Essential Functions and Responsibilities Perform scheduled and emergency tooling repair, maintenance, cleaning and set-up of self-contained molds Perform design functions for toolroom operations including repair and new build using Creo CAD/CAM, andGibbs programming software Inspect, build, and maintain tooling and part fixtures using turning, milling, and grinding operations Programming, set-up, and operation of CNC equipment and EDM Recommend changes to mold designs to improve life of the tooling and correct mold issues Assist in troubleshooting of tooling on the production floor in the molding machines, and on the bench Thorough knowledge and understanding of tooling, tool room practices, and fabricating techniques Understand hot runner tool function, and trouble shooting Assist in the training of class B toolmakers and toolmaker apprentices Participate in plant-wide safety efforts Ordering parts using an ERP system (Oracle/QAD) Perform laser welding duties Other duties as assigned Competency Statements Act: Safely, Responsibly and Ethically Develop: Positive, Collaborative Teams and Healthy Work Environments. Experience and Qualifications Two-year degree/diploma in machine trades program Minimum four years related experience Proficiency in Creo design or other mold design packages Strong mechanical aptitude Strong mathematical skills Strong organizational skills Work Environment Manufacturing Plant.
