The Security Manager is responsible for Security issues at all the Philadelphia site. This includes assessing security needs, developing plans and budgets and overseeing electronic systems and physical security for facilities and parking lots across all packaging facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops Security SOP's and work practices as needed.
  • Communicates and provides training on same to others.
  • Consults with company leadership to determine corporation and customer security needs.
  • Recommends equipment and services and develops plans and budgets to provide needed security systems and services.
  • Coordinates installation of all electronic security equipment, including card access systems, CCTV systems, environmental, burglar and fire systems as directed. May work through electronic security system consultant.
  • Maintains records or and insures maintenance of all electronic systems.
  • Assists in supervising the contract security guard service. Coordinates guard training and job responsibilities and maintains needed level of performance.
  • Represents the company for security system and physical security issues with the DEA; coordinates DEA issues with PCI Regulatory Affairs department.
  • Represents the company during customer security audits, responds to audit critique regarding PCI follow-up actions.
  • Maintains an appropriate relationship and communications with the Philadelphia Police Department, along with the Pennsylvania State Police Cargo Theft Unit and the Pharmaceutical Cargo Security Coalition (PCSC) as needed.
  • Conducts investigations and interviews as needed.
  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
  • Attendance to work is an essential function of this position
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate Degree in a related field and/or 7-10 years related experience and/or training.
  • College Level Mathematical Skills
  • Advanced Computer Skills: Ability to perform the most complex computer tasks and operate various computer programs.
  • Full Professional Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write fluently and accurately on all levels pertinent to professional needs.
  • Very High Reasoning: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Be able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in math or diagram form and deal with several abstract/concrete variables.
  • Ability to coordinate and negotiate with suppliers of security equipment and services is required.
  • Experience in managing investigations of all types.

Preferred:

  • Ability to effectively present information to various people as the job requires.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to show success in managing employees.
  • Ability to display a willingness to make decisions.
  • Law Enforcement Management Experience
  • Experience with the design, deployment and maintenance of key systems for large buildings
  • A background in police work and experience with the security of pharmaceuticals.
