The Role:

We are looking for our next team member to support our Public Sector End User, Channel Partner, and OEM relationships with organizations such as State and Local Government agencies, Higher Education institutions and K-12 School districts. In this highly visible role our new BDE can formulate their own business strategies, manage their own relationships and develop "Go to Market" strategies to drive sales of AMD client, server and graphic products.

The Person:

We'd love to meet people with:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, and impactful business and executive presence
  • Hunter mentality with creativity to develop their own leads and pipeline within targeted segment and territory
  • Analytical approach with the ability to look at data for forecasting, trending, and market strategies
  • Willingness to travel 50% regionally
  • Proven success working independently and remotely, with a track record of increased responsibility and or growth
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build relationships within your target market by representing AMD through direct end user engagement
  • Drive sales through account penetration, account planning and opportunity management with OEM and Reseller partners, utilizing Business Development skills to increase Awareness Acceptance and Adoption at Public Sector accounts
  • Assist in OEM and Partner Bid responses and setting of specifications
  • Enable Partner and OEM sales teams through training on messaging and value propositions
  • Consistently achieve assigned annual and quarterly sales and share quotas by developing a strong pipeline of incremental volume deals with target accounts
  • Build positive relationships with internal and external partners across AMD and Industry
Preferred Experience:

  • Proven experience and demonstrated successful track record in Public Sector Business Development/Sales and/or Sales Support with acquisition contracts and programs
  • Proven success and knowledge of the customer segment, executing GTM strategies, and building relationships with OEM partners like Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc.
Academic Credentials:

Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred

Location:

California preferred, but will consider other US cities near a major airport for the right person

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.
