The eDiscovery and Surveillance team within Macquarie provides technology and services to retain, discover and conduct surveillance against Electronically Stored Information (ESI). As a global technology service, we partner with Legal, Compliance, Employee Relations, and Security teams across Macquarie during the eDiscovery phase of investigations.
While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require three days a week in our office location.

What role will you play?

We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer in Philadelphia to help us transform this service while also supporting real-world investigation needs. Your role will be divided between projects and operational support responsibilities. Example projects include our migration to public cloud platforms and the addition of new electronic communication data feeds to our existing message archive. Operational support duties will include vulnerability management, BCP testing and alert management.

Although previous eDiscovery experience is not required, it is crucial to have an appreciation for the proper handling of sensitive data. Salary range for this position: $60-90/hour. Actual salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.

What you offer

  • At least 2 years' experience working in an Agile software engineering team with a strong understanding of Windows, Linux, and networking concepts, and experience in a Windows Server environment.
  • Proven experience in building integrations between software applications using microservices and APIs, with familiarity in AWS cloud technologies (S3, IAM, EC2, ELB, Cloud Formation, Lambda, EKS, RDS) and CI/CD tools.
  • Proficiency in developing with Python, PowerShell, Java, and using YAML and JSON, along with experience in SDLC tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GIT, Bamboo, and Jenkins.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong client service focus, and effective collaboration skills within a global technology team, with a strong sense of ownership and integrity in handling sensitive data.
