The Finance Data and AI team contributes to the vitality and growth of the organization through researching and building complex, cutting-edge, and scalable models, algorithms, platforms, and processes to significantly improve internal customer experience and drive business results. Our high-caliber team uses rigorous quantitative approaches to ensure that we are efficiently building solutions that are relevant to the business or customer experience issue at hand.

About the Role:

On FIS' Finance Data and AI team, you won't be just tinkering around the edges, you'll be building critical solutions that will benefit our clients for years to come.

This role does have an in office requirement.

What you will be doing:

• We work closely with business stakeholders to deliver high-value solutions that drive client and business value.

• As a Data Science Specialist at FIS, you will lead a team of data scientists and engineers to develop and implement machine learning models, ensuring the delivery of high-quality analytical solutions.

• Your role involves collaborating with business stakeholders to drive client and business value, managing projects from planning to execution, and translating technical concepts into business insights.

• You will need proven experience in team leadership, strong communication and interpersonal skills, project management expertise, and a strategic mindset to make informed decisions and drive innovation.

What you will need:

• Bachelor's Degree and typically at least 3 years of Big Data Analytics

• Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with a focus on collaboration and achieving business goals.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

• Ability to oversee and guide the development and implementation of data-driven solutions.

• Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and delivery of projects on time and within budget.

• Understanding of data science principles and methodologies, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights.

• Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in data science and AI.

• A strategic mindset with the ability to make informed decisions and drive innovation.

Added bonus if you have:

• Previous experience managing a team of data scientists and engineers.

• Experience with data visualization and post-hoc analysis enablement tools: PowerBI, Tableau.
