Position: Production Control Specialist
Location: Bloomingdale, GA.
Pay: $57k/yr.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (3+ years) in production control or manufacturing planning, ideally within the automotive or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of injection molding, molding, and assembly production processes.
- Familiarity with production planning software (e.g., ERP, MRP).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus..
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience in the automotive parts manufacturing industry a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an efficient injection production plan to meet customer demands, production capacity, and material availability.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure production schedules align with customer specifications and deadlines.
- Analyze production performance and implement corrective actions to optimize the injection molding process.
- Create detailed molding and assembly production plans in line with company objectives and customer requirements.
- Coordinate the scheduling of molding and assembly activities, considering lead times, labor resources, and machine availability.
- Monitor the execution of production plans, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Develop, update, and manage detailed production schedules for both short-term and long-term production needs.
- Coordinate with the procurement and supply chain teams to ensure material availability and avoid production delays.
- Track and report on production progress, identify potential delays, and implement solutions to stay on schedule.
- Ensure proper inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to meet production requirements.
- Work with the inventory control team to minimize excess stock while avoiding shortages that could halt production.
- Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices to increase production efficiency.
- Lead or participate in initiatives aimed at reducing waste, downtime, and cost.
- Coordinate with the quality control team to ensure products meet quality standards at each stage of production.
- Address quality concerns promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide regular updates on production status, potential delays, and any issues that may impact production schedules to management.
- Facilitate communication between production, engineering, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations in all production activities.
- Contribute to a safe working environment by supporting health and safety initiatives.
