Security Specialist

LOCATION: Washington, DC

POSITION TYPE: Onsite


Summary:

The Security Specialist supports general administrative control, monitoring, and access management for employees, contractors, detailees, and task force officers to Secret Service facilities in Washington, DC. This position is responsible for issuing Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards, building passes, and credentials. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four (4) years of security experience. DHS experience is preferred.


Requirements:


  • Minimum of four (4) years of security experience in administrative control and access monitoring.



  • Experience with the issuance of PIV cards, building passes, and credentials.



  • Knowledge of security protocols, access control systems, and facility security management.



  • Ability to manage access and monitor the movement of individuals in a secure environment.



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.



  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.



  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.




Preferred Qualifications:


  • DHS experience is a plus.



  • Familiarity with Secret Service or similar high-security environments.



  • Experience working with security management systems and technologies.



  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with personnel at all levels.
