Progyny is seeking a summer intern to support the Legal Team. The team is looking for someone to - interested in women's health, healthcare, and working in-house to learn and collaborate with legal team. This person would be part of a collaborative and dynamic in-house legal and compliance team. We are looking for someone to assist team in monitoring and filing contractual documents, reviewing templated agreements for completeness, preparing contracts, providing support in managing our license renewals and annual documentation filings and leveraging our knowledge management tool to ensure appropriate communication of new information across the team.

Progyny's internship program offers undergraduate and graduate students the chance to gain valuable corporate work experience while contributing to meaningful projects that benefit the company. The internship program runs year-round based on the needs of each department, with a dedicated summer program that begins in June. Summer interns will be required to present to senior leadership on project(s) that they have completed during their time with Progyny.

The internship program will align the intern to a specific business leader to execute on a specific project plan. This is a paid internship with a hybrid schedule, requiring interns to work in the office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Remote positions may also be available.

What you'll do...

  • Partner with both internal and external parties to ensure we meet all deliverables in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Contribute to cataloging contracts and other legal documents, helping to build and refine organizational processes

  • Perform research on legal and compliance topics as needed by the team

  • Assist in administration of team functions, while learning more about women's healthcare.

  • Present to executive team on projects and work done over the summer.

  • Learn and contribute to various legal and compliance team.

  • Learn about working in a legal department in a corporation.

  • Learn about variety of different types of legal work in an in-house environment, including contracting, compliance, and privacy.

  • Work with a dedicated team to learn more about women's health and healthcare.

About you...

  • Interested in pursuing a law degree

  • Strong Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) skills and ability to efficiently work with large volumes of data and pivot tables.

  • Organized and methodical with strong attention to detail.

  • Comfortable collaborating with and presenting to executives.

  • Demonstrated ability to be adaptive and inquisitive; natural problem solver.

  • Prefers to work independently with clear initial guidance/requests leveraging cross functional resources and teams.

  • Driven to deliver results with the ability to establish rapport, earn trust, and effectively collaborate with others.
