The Opportunity We are seeking a Client Accounting Project Assistant to join our Firm. This individual will perform technical and administrative tasks for the Client Accounting Department and provide information and assistance to attorneys, paralegals, and business services professionals.
- Coordinates data storage and retrieval for all client account related documentation.
- Performs data entry and storage of supporting documentation, e.g., entry of new client/matters records and modifications in Aderant Expert.
- Assists with changes related to existing client/matter records using Aderant Expert.
- Assists with activities related to Suspense matters.
- Assists with client/matter intake-related projects.
- Assists with follow up related to confidential client/matters.
- Reviews work product and ensures accuracy of information, e.g., timely proofreading of new clients/matters and modifications and following up for missing information and documentation.
- Utilizes the Firm's databases for department specific information, e.g., assigning conflicts search IDs to clients/matters and enters positions and relationships in Conflicts of Interest database.
- Scans and retrieves documents using Aderant Expert Image.
- Coordinates off-site storage.
- Retrieves and responds to requests for client/matter intake forms and engagement/waiver-related documents.
- Coordinates electronic data storage and retrieval for engagement/waiver-related documentation.
- Assists with engagement/waiver-related projects.
- Scans and retrieves documents using Aderant Expert Image.
- Assists with conducting audits of Aderant Expert Image databases
- Responds to requests made by others in the Firm and demonstrates this understanding through the use of effective communication.
- Works with department management to streamline the overall storage and retrieval process.
- Actively seeks to enhance knowledge of all Client Accounting procedures and processes.
- Manages Firm resources responsibly.
- Complies with and understands Firm operation, policies, and procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrates close attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
- Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality

Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year related experience
