Position Overview: Structural Bridge Engineering Associate

Our client is seeking a Structural Bridge Engineering Associate to join their team at the FDOT Corridors Program Office (CPO) in Celebration, FL. This embedded position will require the candidate to report to the office five days per week and contribute to the Moving I-4 Forward program, one of the highest-profile infrastructure projects in the state.

Responsibilities:




  • Utilize production software to develop impact studies, cost analyses, and design requirements.



  • Lead data collection efforts and prepare portions of project documents.



  • Edit specifications and discipline reports, preparing drawings, visual aids, and presentations.



  • Conduct field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects as needed.



  • Perform research and investigations to support the development of proposed engineering applications.



Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.



  • Engineer-in-Training (EI) certification required.



  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes, regulations, and ordinances.



  • Proficiency in production software and construction document production.



  • Passion for engineering with a willingness to learn and grow.



  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively build relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
