The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs' corporate strategy, and in preserving the firm's distinctive culture. We are responsible for safeguarding the firm's relationship with alumni, clients, shareholders, policy makers, and the broader public, while ensuring that our own people remain informed about the firm's evolving priorities. We also partner with the businesses to source high-impact opportunities in line with the firm's social and sustainability agendas.

The Office of Corporate Engagement

The Goldman Sachs Office of Corporate Engagement leads the global philanthropic efforts of The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (Goldman Sachs), including strategic partnerships, charitable giving, and employee volunteerism. This includes signature initiatives such as 10,000 Women, 10,000 Small Businesses, Community TeamWorks (CTW) and Goldman Sachs Gives, in addition to management of the firm's Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) commitments.

The Senior Analyst/Associate will help drive the success of efforts to engage the people of Goldman Sachs in the firm's philanthropic and community service activities. In particular, the selected candidate will drive operations for Community TeamWorks (CTW), the signature volunteering initiative through which Goldman Sachs people provide over 100k hours of service to communities annually, and the Matching Gift program, which annually distributes approximately $20mm to nonprofits worldwide.

Key responsibilities include:



  • Coordinate day-to-day logistics for the CTW program in New York and New Jersey, including:

    • Sourcing, scoping and approving volunteer projects
    • Monitoring volunteer enrollment, conducting targeted recruitment as needed
    • Maintaining the CTW internal website
    • Processing charitable contributions
    • Distributing t-shirts
    • Other tasks as needed

  • Manage and develop partnerships with nonprofit organizations; serve as a primary point of contact for organizations looking to engage the firm's employees through volunteerism or other pro bono initiatives
  • Facilitate bi-weekly meetings with the global CTW team, preparing agendas and disseminating key takeaways
  • Liaise with CTW champions across the firm's US offices, fielding questions and providing support as needed to ensure consistent rollout of the program
  • In partnership with the events team, help to plan and execute larger-scale, special events
  • Gather and curate content for internal communications and external marketing, including project highlights, photos, testimonies, etc.
  • Draft program communications and prepare weekly memos and slide decks
  • Assist with program analysis and reporting on key impact metrics, including the creation of an annual impact report
  • Provide administrative support for the Matching Gift program, including fielding questions from employees and / or nonprofit organizations
  • Assist with special projects as needed, including the development of timely volunteering and employee giving campaigns


Skills



  • 2-4 years of demonstrated experience in program / project management, events management, operations and / or Corporate Social Responsibility
  • Strong interest in corporate philanthropy and community engagement
  • Proactive and collaborative team player skilled at managing multiple projects and people
  • Able to take initiative and drive work with moderate supervision
  • Critical thinker with sound judgment and proven problem solving ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Rigorous attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in person, on phone, by email and voicemail
  • Strong data management and analysis skills; ability to distill complex information into actionable insights
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel and Word for presentations and data analysis
  • Highest degree of integrity, professionalism, diplomacy and discretion
  • Agile and responsive; demonstrates a sense of urgency in response to time-sensitive requests

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $85000-$110000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
