Solar Welder I

SUMMARY

Mortenson is currently seeking a Solar Welder I that will be responsible for the preparation, handling, and supplying of materials to be used by other crafts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Knowledge of trade tools, equipment, materials, caliper, as well as, methods and techniques used in safe welding operations

Mechanical capacity and mathematical skills.

Positive attitude and professional customer service skills

Ability to interpret blueprints, shop drawings, sketches other production orders

Time management skills to meet schedules and time standards, to best of ability as instructed

Strong attention to quality, ability to work independently, and detail orientation

All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Welding Certifications and/or technical training (required)

Minimum 1 year of experience as a welder (preferred)

Experience in construction preferred

Strong teamwork orientation; positive attitude and professional customer service skills; detail orientation; active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback

Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements

*Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.

The base pay range for this role is $Min - $Max per hour. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
