Education/Experience Requirements:
- Master's degree preferred, Bachelor's degree required in Applied Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or Operations Research.
- 3-7 years of experience in predictive analytics, machine learning, and marketing data science.
- Experience in higher education marketing or enrollment analytics is a plus but not required.
The Senior Data Scientist - Enrollment Analytics plays a strategic role in transforming data from multiple reporting tools and databases (internal and external) into actionable insights that enhance and optimize student enrollment, marketing effectiveness, and institutional performance. This position will leverage advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning (ML) to influence data-informed decision-making across the student lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Leveraging Advanced Data Science
- Apply machine learning (ML) and AI-driven models (e.g., predictive modeling, natural language processing, deep learning) to optimize marketing effectiveness and improve student engagement throughout the entire student lifecycle.
- Utilize machine learning to forecast future enrollment patterns and provide proactive recommendations.
- Leverage big data techniques (cloud computing, automation, AI-driven forecasting) to extract insights from structured and unstructured data sources.
- Predictive Analytics & Student Lifecycle Optimization
- Build predictive and prescriptive models to forecast prospective marketing channel effectiveness, enrollment / re-enrollment likelihood, retention risks, and student success.
- Develop segmentation strategies using clustering, decision trees, and neural networks to tailor marketing campaigns and personalized student outreach.
- Optimize inquiry-to-enrollment funnel by analyzing opportunity trends, applicant behaviors, dropout points, and factors influencing student commitment.
- Marketing Performance & Attribution Modeling
- Analyze marketing performance data to identify trends and provide insights to optimize media spend.
- Utilize attribution data and student journey patterns to design a multi-touch attribution model to optimize the marketing mix across Paid Search, Social Media, Influencer Marketing, OTT, and other digital channels.
- Utilize AI-driven CRM marketing automation & lead scoring to optimize conversion pathways and allocate marketing budget based on high-impact strategies.Market & Competitive Analysis.
