Salary Start at: $18.00 Job Description: As the Utility Assistance Program Specialist, you will provide support and resources to families and individuals in Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Posey Counties in partnership with CenterPoint Energy and other community organizations. The position coordinates emergency financial utility services across southwest Indiana ensuring that the mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out. What You Will Do:
Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in Human or Social Services (or related field) preferred. Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed, and all background check results will be reviewed. Experience: Minimum of two years' experience in case management services. Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 90 days of employment. Must complete Case Worker Certification Program within 120 days of employment; Must complete SIMS data entry and/or completion of data entry procedures within 60 days of employment. Skills/Abilities:

Occasional in-person attendance is required for staff meetings, trainings, and networking events. Standard work hours align with business operations, though flexibility may be needed based on client needs. This role involves frequent computer use, phone communication, and virtual meetings.
