About the Job

Duties/Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for a wide variety of areas. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following duties:
* Perform grounds maintenance as directed by management
* Keeping work areas and the maintenance shop in a neat and orderly manner
* Use of hand tools, water hoses, mowers, and weed whips
* Work in outdoor conditions, sometimes in adverse weather

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: All student employees are required to be trained in CPR, First Aid, and AED use. For students that do not already possess these certifications, training will be provided by the department upon being hired. Other requirements related to the position include:
* Safely operate motorized riding equipment
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
* Comfortable with physical work
* Must have a valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications:
* Golf course experience
* Experience with motorized equipment
* Gardening, horticulture, or mechanic experience

About the Department

The University of Minnesota Golf Course is located one (1) block northwest of the St. Paul campus. The golf course is a multiuse facility containing 18 holes of golf, driving range, and practice facilities. This position serves to ensure that all golf course patrons have received the highest level of customer service and have been provided with a safe and fun environment to learn and participate in the game of golf.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $15.25; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
