Description
As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks a Visiting Assistant/Associate Professor of Biology to promote our Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by demonstrating academic excellence and the potential for distinctive contributions to the holistic development of students. Teaching-focused candidates with a strong background in genetics, developmental biology, or molecular biology are encouraged to apply. The appointment shall begin in the fall of 2025 and may be reappointed for a second year. The Department of Biology at Marian University is a collaborative academic community committed to fostering student engagement, active learning, problem solving, and hands-on learning. The department offers B.S. and B.A. degrees in Biology and is essential to our Office of Pre-Medicine and Pre-Health Professions, supporting students pursuing careers in any area of healthcare but especially through our Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine. Our programs support students from widely varied backgrounds and experiences, and candidates who can contribute to learning and mentoring from widely varied perspectives are encouraged to apply.
