About the Role: The GORE-TEX Fabrics business of W.L. Gore & Associates is looking for a marketing communications professional to join our Americas regional marketing team based in Elkton, MD. Our protective fabrics and technologies are highly valued by demanding professional end users in fire & rescue, police, military and workwear applications. One of the primary vehicles we use to bring our message to the market is through trade shows and events. We'd be looking to you to drive the regional planning and execution of trade shows and events to ensure a consistent and winning presentation of our technologies in our Safety and Defense Segments.

This position will be located at our Elk Mills 5 facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Pay and Benefits:



  • $80,000 - $100,000 per year

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of planning and operations for regional trade shows, end-user and customer events
  • Develop and oversee the events calendar
  • Coordinate planning and materials for successful execution of trade shows and events (F2F and virtual)
  • Identify, assemble and coordinate requirements in close collaboration with internal stakeholders (product specialists, sales, marketing associates) and manage external suppliers and vendors
  • Further develop sales and marketing tools, manage production, inventory levels and distribution of POS, promotional and collateral materials
  • Monitor budgets and success metrics and make recommendations to increase effectiveness

Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 3 years of marketing and communications experience with a focus on trade show and event planning and implementation
  • Proven ability to organize workflow, prioritize, and execute projects to completion in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability of working on a number of projects in parallel, across different business categories and teams
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to integrate across businesses and functions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience
  • Some heavy lifting is required while carts and assistance are available for above average items
  • Ability to 20% travel required



Desired Qualifications:



  • Experience in marketing asset development, production and inventory management
  • Personal and/or business experience in Safety and/or Defense end uses such as firefighting or military service
  • Ability to utilize photography and video equipment
