Location: Remote

Pay Range: $18.28 - $22.86

Schedule: Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm EST)

What work will you perform?

In this role, you will support the Field Management team as the first point of contact in the onboarding and training for newly contracted Landstar Agents. Your support experience and engagement skills will play a key role in helping Agents navigate their learning process. You will deliver exceptional internal customer service to ensure a positive and successful initial six months, at minimum, for our Agents. Your ability to continuously learn and adapt will be vital to your success in this position. As an Agent Advisor, you will be required to travel with the expectation and ability to pre-pay for approved expenses up front with payments being reimbursed upon return. Flights are paid in advance by the Company.

Essential Responsibilities:



  • Provide comprehensive training on all Landstar systems, tools, and sites
  • Deliver engaging and effective online training sessions
  • Monitor new agent performance at 45/90/180-day intervals
  • Conduct weekly workshop training for agency staff members
  • Process and respond to agents' customer account inquiries
  • Function as the initial corporate point of contact for new agents
  • Provide operational support when needed
  • Communicate and collaborate with Region Team personnel
  • Perform system demonstrations as requested
  • Other duties as assigned



Required Minimum Experience and Education:



  • High school diploma or General education degree (GED)
  • One year of customer service in an office setting



Preferred Experience:



  • One-year transportation experience
  • 6 months of presentation experience, training experience, or equivalent of both



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities


  • Ability to create and maintain positive relationships fostering communication and cooperation with agents and Region personnel. Always maintain professional demeanor


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Internet knowledge
  • Ability to analyze and apply critical thinking to solve issues in a timely manner
  • Effective communication skills in all modes
  • Ability to travel as required for onsite training or meetings and pre-pay for approved reimbursable expenses (i.e. hotel, meals, rental vehicles). Flights are paid for by the Company in advance.
