Position Summary:

The Item Data Coordinator is responsible for creating BEK items. They communicate directly with manufacturers or other approved sources to collect all necessary item information needed to enrich and create BEK item information.

Note: We are only considering candidates with Data Entry experience. Please read the entire job description to ensure it matches your skill set. This is a full-time hourly role that is 100% on-site, working 8 am to 5 pm from Monday through Friday.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop a comprehensive and sustainable approach to the collection of manufacturer data.



  • Understand and be able to perform new item set-up and further enhancement of new and existing items as needed.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the tools provided to collect and maintain manufacturing data.
  • Research and problem solve as it relates to collection of product information & data accuracy.
  • Work proactively to gather product information from multiple sources including Manufacturers, Food Brokers, and other approved sources as necessary.


Access and utilize appropriate internal systems to complete assigned tasks.



  • Work with Manufacturers, Food Brokers, and other sources as necessary to ensure collected data is accurate and complete.
  • Scrutinize supplied product images and choose which order to present images and, when necessary, which images to and not to utilize.
  • Utilize computer to perform routine and repetitive data input.
  • Perform data input based on available information.


Establish and maintain effective reporting to share with Corporate Category Directors and Immediate Supervisors to track progress and identify opportunities.



  • Be responsible for data analysis and creation of reporting to communicate progress to supervisor and coordinating departments.
  • Participate in supplier meetings and conference calls when necessary.
  • Foster communications and positive relationships with industry liaisons who provide product information.
  • Communicate and work with the Corporate Director to Master Data & Procurement Systems.
  • Complete basic bookkeeping functions and additional duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:



  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; some colleges prefer it.
  • At least 1 year of clerical experience
  • At least 1 year of data entry experience
  • Ability to follow directions and operational guidelines.
  • Knowledge of the food industry is helpful
  • Essential reading and spelling skills for completion of paperwork
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; ability to learn and use internal and external applications.
  • Basic bookkeeping skills
  • Ability to work on site 100% during regular office hours.
