QFS Compliance Specialist

At Danone, Manufacturing the best products and supplying them to meet demand is a key driver for our plant teams. We are currently looking to hire a QFS Compliance Specialist to be based in our City of Industry, California manufacturing facility.

In this high visibility position, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the quality compliance activities at the Danone City of Industry manufacturing facility. This includes the activities associated with FSSC 22000, Food Safety Modernization Act, Non-GMO, Organic, Kosher, and other regulatory compliance programs at the facility. You will assist the QFS Compliance Supervisor with ESL and/ or Aseptic compliance related activities and audit-ready function for the facility. The success of this position in meeting objectives is measured by internal, regulatory, and external audits measuring compliance to standards.

Essential Responsibilities:

The base compensation range for this position is $70K - $85K per year, commiserate with experience. Education and experience:

• You have a bachelor's degree in food science or technical field, required.
• You have 3-5 years combined experience with food, ingredients or beverage manufacturing experience, required. Experience within a quality role is preferred.
• GFSI audit certification training / Internal Auditor Training experience, preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• PCQI Certification, preferred
• HACCP food safety and Quality Management preferred
• State and Federal regulatory, preferred
• PMO Knowledge, preferred
• Knowledge of kosher and organic processes and regulations for food manufacturing, preferred
• Understanding of FSSC standards, preferred
• Required:

  • Ability to support a 24/7 production environment as business needs dictate. Work schedules could include nights, weekends, holidays as business needs dictate.
