Develops, leads, and supports project management initiatives intended to increase the efficiency, predictability, and consistent delivery of litigation services throughout the lifecycle of a legal matter. Acts as administrator for lifecycle of eDiscovery projects. Collaborates with FedEx legal management, attorneys, and paralegals, as well as law firm attorneys and vendor representatives, to develop and execute procedures regarding electronic discovery best practices and technology training. Partners with attorneys and outside counsel to develop and execute process for optimal usage of both internal and external resources for litigation while tracking cost and success metrics.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees the planning, implementation, and tracking of FedEx e-Discovery projects from beginning to end. This may include defining applicable metrics and creating analytical reports to measure the progress and success of data collections, filtering, processing, and productions.

  • Implements and facilitates eDiscovery activities, workflow monitoring, and progress reporting.

  • Directs the creation and implementation of eDiscovery processes to be utilized by FedEx Legal teams, outside counsel and vendors and advises senior legal management on eDiscovery activities, resource needs and opportunities.

  • Develops and oversees necessary eDiscovery training for in-house Legal teams, outside counsel and vendors on practices and procedures and available eDiscovery technological resources.

  • Assists with development and tracking of case/matter budgets and/or lifecycle, coordinates technical/data processing support, and identifies required resources as needed; implements the business procedure for end-to-end eDiscovery processing; including data collection, recordkeeping, case processing, keyword search, and export/production; provides feedback to development and technical to aid in enhancing eDiscovery platforms.

  • Identifies, develops, oversees, and implements key performance indicators to enhance eDiscovery processes and establish accountability among key stakeholders.

  • Assists the FedEx legal department, FedEx IT and server support groups, law firm legal teams, vendors and any additional consultants with managing data collections, designing effective databases and ensuring proper communication between the parties.

  • Leads and collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve enterprise eDiscovery issues, assess eDiscovery resources, and develop/implement defensible procedures.

  • Serves as the subject matter expert in regard to technology offerings from electronic discovery service providers and software vendors, evaluates vendors, negotiates pricing, and makes recommendations to legal teams based on the needs of the case/matter.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree/equivalent in Business, Engineering, Finance, Information Science or related field

(HS/GED with four (4) years litigation support experience is accepted in lieu of degree.)

Minimum Experience:

Five (5) years' experience in litigation support required including at least three (3) years of major litigation support project process development and execution.

Two (2) years of eDiscovery internal process development experience leading cross-functional projects preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Software skills, including use of Microsoft Office software, web-based applications and eDiscovery software required.

  • Must have time management and organization skills necessary to manage multiple projects, appropriately prioritize workload, and plan for resources to meet deadlines and goals.

  • Verbal and written communication skills to communicate with all levels of management required.

  • Certified eDiscovery Specialist certification (CEDS) preferred

  • Project Management (PMP) certification preferred


Preferred Qualifications: Relativity One experience, Proficiency in eDiscovery software

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: U.S. Pay Range: $5,364.26/month - $10,898.39/month, Colorado Pay Range: $5,364.26/month - $10,444.28/month, New York Pay Range: $5,662.27/month - $10,898.39/month, New York City Pay Range: $6,854.33/month - $10,898.39/month

Additional Details: Remote work will be considered based on business need. This position is not eligible for relocation. Position not eligible for sponsorship.
