Warehouse Technician (Temporary)

What is the role about?

The Warehouse Technician will contribute to increasing our capacity and reducing shipping delays. You will also help increase and maintain inventory accuracy, ensuring we keep our commitment to the customer. It will also us control the financial aspects of the inventory.

Which tasks will you perform?

  • Coordinate shipment of product from 3rd party vendors to the warehouse or to another client-approved location. This may include formal client shipment releases coordinated by the project manager or other approving role.
  • Perform receipt of products in our enterprise system (SAP) and help store or stage product for the inspection team.
  • Perform shipment of product out of our enterprise system (SAP) and logistical supporting software and account to client-approved locations.
  • Perform audits of stored material against the enterprise system or other tracking software to ensure accuracy of inventory.
  • Assist the inspection team during periods of high activity for physical inspections, tagging, non-conformance logging, and packing inspected product for client shipment.
  • Run weekly reporting for the warehouse including system pulls and other KPI reporting to ensure program visibility to status and accurate operation.
  • Provide input and act as a thought partner for potential improvements to the warehousing program.

What do we expect from you?

You will have (required):

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three years related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and understand project reports and collaborate with team members to understand project priorities.
  • Ability to clearly and comfortably communicate with vendors and clients to relay requirements of shipping, approvals to ship, and all shipping documentation.
  • Attention to detail and ability to methodically perform standard operating procedures.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk and sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. For items weighing more than 50 pounds, the appropriate lifting assistance is to be used. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision and color vision.

You may have (preferred):

  • Experience in utilizing SAP and other logistic software and accounts.
  • Previous quality inspection experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read technical specifications and/or drawing.
  • Forklift experience.

Temporary Position Details

  • Family-owned, friendly, and highly committed company
  • 3-6 month temporary position
  • Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00am-4:00pm
