The Expert Financial Analyst isa key member of the Corporate Planning and Control Team while managing and controlling the financial operations for the Advertising and Promotion (A&P) area, leading automation projects, and driving process improvements to support Sony's major business initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Financial reporting, account analysis, reconciliations, vendor payment management, month-end close, audit, financial tool support, budget and forecasting activities.

  • Work as a liaison directly supporting the Business Units by preparing journal entries, resolving variances where needed, troubleshooting financial tools and general operation issues, providing meaningful and insightful reports and information to support the business.

  • Systems and operational support for Forecasting Tool including Internal Order Master Data maintenance; data integrity validation; constantly ensuring alignment with BU Hierarchy and SAP Systems; Provide input and test new versions or upgrades related to different tools managed.

  • Our candidate should have the ability to identify weaknesses in processes, provide recommendations for process improvements and execute them. Also, they must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously as well as lead projects.

  • Lead and train A&P Customers how to properly track and execute spend, while following company policy.

  • Coordinate with cross functional teams, maintain, train, and guide Financial Policies to Marketing teams.

  • Backup for other CPC operations outside of A&P managed by team.

  • Cross train on other CPC operations outside of A&P responsibilities to ensure business continuity.

Strong Competencies:

  • The ability to identify weaknesses in processes and provide recommendations for process improvements.

  • Lead process improvement projects.

  • Must be able to work on multiple activities simultaneously.

  • Managerial courage and is not afraid to speak up with a recommendation or observation based on experience.

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

  • 5-7 years Commercial finance experience in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience applying quantitative business analysis and communicating results.

  • Strong accounting and reporting skills while learning new financial systems quickly are a must.

  • Excellent working knowledge of SAP, Excel, Power Query/Automation, and PowerBI is required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Internal and External customers / business partners.

  • Ideal candidate is detail oriented, proactive, curious, understands end-to-end impact, and has a can-do attitude.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $96,614.00to $128,820.00.The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.In addition to a competitive base salary, this position is also eligible for an annual corporate bonus plan, which is based on company performance and is not guaranteed, and a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare benefits (medical, dental, and vision), paid medical leave, a 401k plan with matching company contributions, vacation time, education assistance, student loan assistance program, eighty hours of paid sick leave time annually, and up to twelve weeks paid parental leave.
