Are you our Engineer Designer?

This role reports directly to the Engineering Manager and is located at our Grayling, MI Atlas Copco-Air Way Systems facility. In this role you will play a crucial role in creating detailed engineering designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software. A key part of your role will involve producing comprehensive blueprint drawings with meticulous detailing and precise callouts to guide manufacturing and assembly processes.

Here's how you'll make an impact:



  • Create and refine innovative designs for products, systems, or structures using advanced CAD software.
  • Develop highly detailed blueprint drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and annotations, to clearly convey design intent.
  • Add precise callouts to drawings to ensure accurate communication of specifications, materials, and assembly instructions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather feedback and incorporate revisions into design updates.
  • Address and resolve design challenges by proposing creative solutions to improve functionality and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of design processes, modifications, and project milestones.


To Succeed, You Will Need:

  • Minimum of 3 years of engineering design experience in mechanical engineering or related field in the automotive or automation machinery industry required.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools - AutoCAD and Inventor preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
  • Solid understanding of engineering principles, standards, and practices.
  • Excellent documentation, communication and collaboration skills.
