Hybrid (Tue-Thurs) in office

As the Associate Brand Design Director of the Electronic Arts brand, you'll lead development of brand identity and creative narrative of our hero brand. Leading a team of designers, you'll collaborate with internal and external partners to define and elevate EA brand's creative expression across various touchpoints, spanning digital, print, social, events, and both internal and external-facing platforms.

What You'll Do

  • Shape and evolve the Electronic Arts brand design system across all player touchpoints, from web and print to environmental, social, and video assets.

  • Lead creative initiatives from concept to execution for enterprise-led activations such as Global Townhalls, Impact Report, ERGs, Holiday Party, and more.

  • Present work and align with senior stakeholders across various business units.

  • Inspire, lead, and direct internal designers while overseeing day-to-day operations.

  • Brief and direct external agencies and vendors, ensuring projects stay on budget and on strategy.

  • Manage and maintain the EA brand style guide and its ecosystem of sub-brands, ensuring consistency and quality benchmarks in executions.

  • Collaborate with strategists, writers, and the broader franchise creative teams to elevate EA's creative expression.

  • Foster an inclusive creative environment and provide mentorship and guidance to our junior designers.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of branding/design experience at a brand or design agency

  • Deep understanding of comprehensive brand strategy, brand architecture, the brand design process, and design trends.

  • Proven track record in creating robust and scalable design systems for global brands in digital, print, experiential, and environmental channels.

  • Experience in creating brand activation campaigns from vision to completion.

  • Excellent communication skills for guiding creative teams and presenting concepts.

  • Excellent hands-on design, typography, and layout skills, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud.

  • Experience with 3D and motion design is a huge plus.

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and capable of juggling multiple projects within deadlines.

  • Passion for gaming is a must!

  • Online portfolio required.

  • BS/BFA in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or Design Direction. Additional related experience is a plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

PAY RANGES

* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento) * $138,200 - $219,000 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to temporary full-time employees scheduled to work full time.
