Summary:

Our Houston office is seeking a Production Technician to join our team! This role is responsible for handling all aspects of Production Pumps & Accessories including inspection, fabrication, assembly, testing, and packaging/crating.

Responsibilities:



  • Inspects new pumps for damages and correctness.
  • Reports non-conformances per the company's Quality Program.
  • Coordinates in-house fabrication and painting needs for pumps & accessories per individual requirements.
  • Assembles pumps from start to finish with all required components.
  • Performs required testing and prepares test data upon completion of assembly.
  • Coordinates packing stage for pumps according to client specifications and/or company standards.
  • Crates production pumps and accessories to ensure damage free shipping using the Shipping/Receiving department as a resource.
  • Supports systems assembly and aftersales as needed by performing mechanical repairs or other tasks.
  • Actively demonstrate the LEWA values of Inclusion, Ownership, Respect, Integrity, Collaboration, and Continuous Improvement.



Requirements

Required Experience & Knowledge:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2+ years related experience and/or training
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Office and Excel
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Passport


Preferred Skill and Experience:*



  • Forklift operator's license
  • Crane operator's license
  • Experience with Woodworking tools and painting equipment


Environment* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, work in high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. * The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
