Computer Engineer needed for an opportunity with SOC's client to work in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Active Top Secret/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph is required!

Responsibilities

The Computer Engineer will be responsible to perform rudimentary computer break fix support, perform installation/deinstallation of equipment, and will work in a highly collaborative environment with teammates, key stakeholders and the Government customer, at the customer site, to ensure mission continuity and support to the IC community. The candidate will provide technical and managerial on-site functions focused on managing the delivery of software services, pre-sales, post-sales or service delivery support, installation and configuration for customer environments. The job focuses on solving various business systems, networking and application problems for standard industry servers, as well as specialized or complex IT environments. Deliver reactive and proactive activities according to SLAs to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Position includes on-site technical support for reactive and proactive customers. Position maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring clear business and technical solution alignment, clarifying customer needs, and ensuring that they are met.

  • Daily system checks for alerts or degradation of service or system.
  • Data center walkthroughs to identify and resolve audible or visual alarms.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and isolate failures.
  • Reseat card and perform hardware reboots.
  • Replace broken hardware components and update the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
  • Restore hardware system to approved baseline configuration.
  • Re-image or reload Firmware and or imbedded software to restore hardware to approved baseline.
  • Run diagnostic to repair storage disc or corrupted database files.
  • Troubleshoot and replace broken cabling.
  • Support Implementation of Government customer approved documented requests from the Computer Management Support Plan (CMSP) .
  • Move or add desktop computer or thin client.
  • Move, add or change telephone equipment.
  • Support the customer in providing Trusted Agent (TA) support to requests from CSOC in support of their out-of-band architecture as identified in the equipment list.
  • Support the validation changes are implemented correctly without operational impact and within SLAs.
  • Provide confirmation of technical support to the customer.
  • Support performance of site survey to ensure the location of the ticket to be fulfilled has the necessary accommodations and dependencies in place for the technician to perform their task.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • 6-8 years of technical IT experience with different Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) vendor gear.
  • Technical degree or industry certifications is a plus.

Desired Skills

  • Continuous service improvement or process improvement experience.
  • Prior technical experience in support of the U.S. military or DoD contractor is a plus.
  • Previous experience with local mission domains and customer base is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with national systems missions and concepts.

Employment Pre-requisites

The following requirements must be met to be eligible for this position: Successful completion of a background investigation, and drug urinalysis.
