- Applies deep knowledge of site reliability, software engineering, programming languages, tooling, frameworks, infrastructure and systems for each task.
- Leads designs of software components, systems, and features to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of LSEG's services.
- Leads sustainable incident response and production improvements for LSEG.
- Provides mentorship and advice to other team members on leading availability and performance of critical services, building automation to prevent problem recurrence, and building automated responses for non-exceptional service conditions.
- Mentors and trains other team members on design techniques and coding standards, and cultivate innovation and collaboration.
- Writes and reviews highly optimized and accurate code for LSEG products and solutions and suggested improvements to team members.
- Partners with architects to decompose a solution for technology systems and products
- Is regarded as the point of contact in their domain by showing significant depth of knowledge and expertise in technology and develops knowledge other domains to act on linkages and dependencies.

Position Summary
As the High-Skills Network Technical Lead, your main responsibility will be to ensure the ongoing support and reliability of all components within the LSEG ecosystem, including platforms, networks, applications, and services. In this role, you will provide 4th-line support to the Network Products and Services functions, ensuring the operational stability and adaptability of the LSEG global network. Your key focus will be on creating and maintaining software automation that improves the reliability and availability of digital platforms and their software delivery pipelines.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field is essential.
Previous roles in architecture or engineering are valuable.
Significant experience in technology-focused positions is crucial.
Extensive knowledge of routing and switching protocols, with a preference for CCIE certification, is highly desirable.
Proven years of experience in network products and services, ideally working with Cisco, Juniper, and Arista technologies while actively pursuing further accreditation, is important.
Expertise spanning LAN, WAN, HSRP, NAT, MPLS, VPN, GRE, BGP, and OSPF is vital.
Knowledge of multicast concepts, including IGMP, RP, and PIM, is beneficial.
Familiarity with low-latency technologies commonly deployed in the financial sector is advantageous.
Excellent knowledge of network Packet analysis and Packet Capture tools gives to operational efficiency.
Experience with Data Centre Networking, including Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Cisco ACI, VxLAN, and related technologies, is valuable.
Understanding cloud environments and possessing knowledge of network security, including standard processes, is beneficial.
Familiarity with load balancing technologies, TCP/IP, and multicast in internet environments is important.
Proficiency in required Service Management processes, ideally with ITIL knowledge, is advantageous.
Exposure to the financial sector and its associated technologies is valuable.
