Job Description

The Private Wealth Senior Loan Compliance Officer is responsible for handling Internal Audit, Compliance and Regulatory reviews and requests for Private Wealth Banking specifically for consumer purpose lending. This role will manage all compliance related issues, gather documentation and answer questions as the primary point of contact for Private Wealth Banking for Internal Audit, Compliance and Regulatory. This role will work with appropriate personnel on any regulatory changes, managing/creating various reports as well as updating and maintaining policies and procedures for Private Wealth Underwriting, Private Wealth Banking loan compliance as well as Private Wealth Banking INC policies and procedures. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to preparation of Private Wealth Banking Asset Quality packet, Premium Finance Insurance carrier analysis and allocations, NMLS monitoring and reporting and other projects that may be assigned from time to time.

This position reports to the Private Wealth Residential Real Estate / Streamline Underwriting Manager with a dotted line to the Managing Director Private Wealth Banking.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will act as the main contact for Internal Audit and Compliance, ensuring questions are answered and documentation is provided.
  • You will gather and review data for compliance tests, audits, and exams, following state and federal regulatory guidelines.
  • You will collaborate with the Compliance team to identify and address compliance issues and regulatory gaps.
  • You will provide guidance and training to improve understanding of laws and regulatory requirements within Private Wealth Underwriting.
  • You will prepare reports using PowerBI and INC and update Premium Finance carrier ratings and allocations.
  • You will manage NMLS monitoring, submit Asset Quality packets, maintain policies and procedures, and handle credit reporting matters.
Education & Experience Requirements

The required level of knowledge is typically acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field and 5 - 7 years' regulatory compliance experience with at least 3 years in Consumer compliance or equivalent combination of education and experience. Completed or working towards completion of a professional certification (CRCM, CAMS, CFIRS, CIA, IAACP or equivalent).

  • Well-developed knowledge of Compliance regulations for financial institutions.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of the impact of consumer compliance to banking operations, lending and deposit banking activities, and wealth management.
  • General understanding of Consumer Compliance regulations to include but not limited to: UDAAP - Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts or Practices; Reg Z - Truth-in-Lending Act; Reg X - Real Estate Settlement Procedures; Reg DD - Truth-in-Savings Act; Reg F - Fair Debt Collections Practices Act; Reg CC - Expedited Funds Availability Act.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the impact of consumer compliance to banking operations, lending and deposit banking activities, and wealth management.
  • General knowledge of federally recognized examination procedures and strong ability to evaluate compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical ability and organization skills (collecting and evaluation of financial and other data to determine trends, core problems/solutions and overall compliance with accepted financial/accounting practices).
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to effectively represent self and BOKF, as well as ability to present complex information and issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Advanced Excel and Word experience.
  • Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership over projects and responsibilities, and resolving issues proactively.
  • Ability to effectively plan time, method, manner and sequence of own work assignments.
