Material Test Facility Laboratory Manager

The Material Test Facility (MTF) laboratory manager position supports SRNL efforts to characterize tritium effects on materials for the NNSA and other tritium related programs. SRNL maintains several materials characterization laboratories for this purpose including the MTF which is a unique testing facility whose primary mission is the metallurgical characterization of tritium reservoirs and associated nuclear weapon components. MTF supports other vital national security missions and R&D missions to explore focus areas such as tritium effects on materials and hydride studies. SRNL employs a team of experienced materials engineers, specialists, and technicians in conducting this mission. MTF is part of the SRNL Weapons Production Technology Directorate. The MTF laboratory manager has responsibility and authority for operation of all MTF facilities within the SRTE. The MTF laboratory manager functions as the MTF facility manager and reports to the Reservoir Systems Laboratory manager.
