Description Our customer is hiring a technician on a long-term contract basis (opportunity to convert permanent as full-time headcount opens up) to support their multiple locations across the Charleston County. This person will need to drive their own vehicle (mileage reimbursed standard IRS rate $0.70/mile) between their assigned locations. Eventually they may be given a company van to drive based on availability. They will be working on a variety of projects within the company to assist with maintaining and enhancing current technology. This person will have the opportunity to be trained up on/enhance their current skills working on preventative maintenance on cameras and access control systems, troubleshooting/installation of cameras and access control and any light networking that might need to be completed. They are looking for someone who comes with some cabling knowledge/experience that is eager to get their foot in the door with a solid company--someone who is excited to learn and can take direction well. Top Skills Details 1) Pull, patch, terminate and test CAT5/CAT6 2) Know way around network closet using faceplate designation/drawing 3) Troubleshoot networking cables 4) Ability to use a computer (know there way around) - command prompt Access Control/CCTV experience would be a bonus Hours: M - F, 7:00 - 3:30pm Candidates must have reliable transportation and be able to successfully pass a DMV check. Experience Level Intermediate level (have to come in with some experience in this industry/field.) Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.50 - $30.00/hr.
