Salary Range Starting at: $76,500.00 Job Objective: As the Director of Development, you will advance The Salvation Army's mission through strategic growth and stewardship of relationships, partnerships, and resources across Central Indiana. This role leads a comprehensive development program, integrating fundraising, marketing and communications, donor relations, volunteer engagement, and special event strategies. This position serves as a visionary partner to the Area Commander, working collaboratively with Divisional Headquarters and internal and external stakeholders to grow organizational capacity, amplify mission, and steward a culture of generosity and community engagement ...ensuring that the Mission of The Salvation Army is effectively carried out. What You Will Do:

Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position. Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. Business Administration, Communications or Public Relations, Nonprofit Management), or 5 years' experience in related field Background Checks: Position requires a background check to be completed, and all background check results will be reviewed. Experience: Demonstrated success in fundraising, strategic development, donor cultivation/stewardship, and grant development. Supervisory experience in multi-disciplinary, collaborative environment Certifications: Must have a valid driver's license and maintain The Salvation Army Driver's qualification standard; must complete Safe From Harm training within the first 90 days of employment. (when appropriate add: "must complete Caseworker Certification Program within 120 days of employment") CFRE certification preferred Skills/Abilities:

Travel: Travel required within the Central Indiana Area Command, with occasional travel throughout the state or to Chicagoland for training and event purposes. May require overnight travel.
