THE POSITION

Are you interested in utilizing your electrical skillset to ensure state fish hatchery operations are sustained efficiently and effectively throughout the northern part of Pennsylvania? DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This is a supervisory position within the Bureau of Engineering, providing vital services to maintain fish and boat facilities in a multi-county region as well as necessary support to the construction staff. This position is responsible for the oversight of in-house electrical work in support of all bureaus within the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission. Work also involves handling electrical issues in buildings, dams, access areas, state fish hatcheries, marinas, roads, and bridges. You will have the opportunity to work directly with engineers to develop plans, specifications, and materials take-off lists as well as conduct periodic project job conferences and final project inspection for all projects assigned.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Emergency situations may require overtime.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a Medium Voltage Electrician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Six years of journey-level experience in the electrical trade, including one year of experience in medium voltage electrical work; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training, which includes one year of experience in medium voltage electrical work.

Conditions of Employment:

  • This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
