Blue Halo is seeking an experienced military analyst to join our team as a Current Operations (CUOPS) Planner in the Operations Center (OPCEN) supporting the 32d Army Air Missile Defense Command (AAMDC) at Fort Bliss, Texas. This critical role will involve supporting real-time operations across the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR). The successful candidate will coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including Combatant Commands, Army Commands, Joint Task Forces, and coalition forces, to ensure sustained situational awareness and uninterrupted communications. Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary interface for the 32d AAMDC with component command centers and staffs concerning ongoing operations, exercises, training, mobilization, readiness, and emergency information.
Provide operational planning support across multiple command posts, including Main Command Post (MCP), Operational Command Post (OCP), Contingency Command Post (CCP), Continuity of Operations (COOP), Theater Coordinated Assistance (TCA), and Operational Alignment and Rebalance (OAR).
Receive, analyze, consolidate, and distribute daily and weekly staff tasking orders and fragmentary orders.
Participate in 32d AAMDC Operational Planning Teams (OPT) and other working/planning groups.
Coordinate unit transitions in theater to ensure smooth operations.
Maintain situational awareness of both CONUS and OCONUS activities that could impact 32d AAMDC operations, force movements, plans, and orders.
Be proficient in the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP).
Prepare concise and accurate written communications.
Maintain proficiency on all automated and audiovisual systems and administrative procedures.
Ensure continuous monitoring of communication systems (NIPR, SIPR) 24/7.
Contribute to the daily operational updates for the 32d AAMDC.
This role is 100% onsite at Ft. Bliss and supports a 24/7 operation. Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizen with an active/current Secret security clearance or higher.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (12+ years).
12-16 years of experience with military organizations, with demonstrated experience in contractor positions supporting government customers.
Experience should primarily be in an operations environment, with at least 12 months of operational and staff experience at the battalion staff level (S3/XO or higher), or a minimum of 6 months at a Service Component Command or Combatant Command Headquarters.
Ability to work night and weekend shifts in support of a 24/7 operations center.
Availability to meet deadlines and participate in meetings or consultations as required.
Proficiency in producing deliverables in various formats including Microsoft Office documents (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), electronic matrices, and web-enabled formats.
Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, concise written materials.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's Degree or higher.
Experience supporting operations within U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Proficiency in the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP).
Familiarity with Army Mission Command Systems.
Previous experience with joint/coalition military operations or coordination.
