We are seeking a Trust Account Specialist to join our Finance department in our Minneapolis office. In this role, you will be responsible for the receipt, disbursement, and record-keeping of the Firm's U.S. trust accounts, as well as being a primary contact for questions and inquiries related to trust account activities. Additional Responsibilities Include:

- Ensure all internal controls are followed in the performance of trust activities and all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Responsible for trust wires/book transfer authorization forms to move monies from/to trust accounts.
- Handle wire transfer authorization forms for closings which require immediate attention. Track the wire to ensure it is processed timely.
- Print trust checks via Elite software.
- Responsible for yearly trust reviews by outside CPA firm or state bar associations.
- Review trust account activity for all trust accounts to determine if any inactive accounts should be refunded to clients or submitted as unclaimed property.
- Field questions from Dorsey staff and assist in the trust training of new employees.
- Back up daily cash receipts on the Elite system, which includes lockbox receipts from the bank as well as ACH payments, wire payments and the internal deposit.
- Assist with the year-end reporting for 1099s.
- May perform other tasks within the Finance department that may be assigned.

What we're looking for:

- Associate's degree with an accounting or finance major.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting department, or five or more years of related experience.
- Understanding of finance policies and procedures.
- Ability to organize and prioritize numerous financial and clerical tasks and procedures and complete them within time constraints with minimal supervision.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent math aptitude and 10-key skills as well as spreadsheet experience.
- Detail oriented, independent worker and self-starter. Ability to manage concurrent projects.
- Ability to work with all levels of personnel as well as clients.

Preferred:

- Previous experience with Windows PCs and related software packages, including Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience in a law firm or other professional services firm.

The pay range for this position in Minnesota only is $28.86 to $37.12 per hour.

This range represents Dorsey's good faith estimate of likely compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will be dependent upon a number of factors, including the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills and location and may fall outside of the range indicated.
