Job Description Summary

The Research Coordinator in Research and Evaluation will work closely with the Senior Research Scholar in the Program for Leadership and Character in the Professional Schools (PLCPS). The Research Coordinator will support all parts of the research and evaluation processes in PLCPS as needed, with a particular focus on qualitative data collection and analysis, resource curation, including extensive literature reviews, and external research and evaluation communications. The Research Coordinator may support qualitative research in the Program for Leadership and Character in the college.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Manage qualitative data collection and analysis for PLCPS projects in Law, Medicine, and Engineering.
  • Support with PLCPS quantitative data cleaning, data management, and analysis
  • Lead resource curation and literature reviews for all PLCPS Research and Evaluation projects
  • Work closely and collaboratively with the Research Scholar in Measurement and Evaluation in all aspects of conducting research.

Other Functions:

  • Participate in the dissemination of research findings in the form of journal articles, popular press publications, and seminar and conference presentations.
  • Support with qualitative and quantitative analysis of data collected for the Program for Leadership and Character in the college
  • Support with research and evaluation external communications and web presence

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • B.S. in psychology or related social science
  • 0-2 years of experience in conducting and managing research
  • Study design and implementation
  • Data cleaning
  • Basic statistical analysis skills
  • Experience submitting IRB applications
  • Strong and demonstrated time management skills to manage multiple ongoing research projects (at different stages in the research process), and a range of stakeholders.
  • Open to being mentored and given constructive feedback and regular appraisals.
  • Interested and able to learn quickly and independently.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Some experience and interest with leadership and/or character development research

Accountabilities:

  • Reports to the Senior Research Scholar in PLCPS
  • Responsible for own work.

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting and standing.

Environmental Conditions:

  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.
