Schedule for this Position is Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm Pay Rate is $15/hour The Salvation Army Mission: The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church. Summary/Primary Purpose: Provides general maintenance services to assigned Omaha Social Services Properties (including but not exclusive to the Renaissance Village Facilities and Properties, Durham Booth Manor, Lauritzen Gymnasium and Lyle Apartments, The Burrows Center and Haven of Hope). Services includes Physical, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems and performs Preventive Maintenance Program inspections and work for all facilities. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. One or more years experience with drywalling, painting, construction and use of hand tools required. HVAC experience desired. Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must successfully complete Safe from Harm within 90 days of hire as required by The Salvation Army. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
