Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented EHS Intern to join our team. The intern will support the Environmental, Health, and Safety department in various tasks, including compliance, risk assessment, and safety training. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in EHS practices and contribute to a safer and more sustainable workplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of EHS policies and procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses.
  • Support the preparation and maintenance of EHS documentation and records.
  • Participate in safety audits and inspections.
  • Help organize and conduct EHS training sessions for employees.
  • Monitor and report on EHS compliance and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Assist in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.

Education & Experience:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or coursework in EHS is a plus but not required.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of EHS regulations and standards.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment and perform tasks.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions
