Why This Role Matters As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll play a critical role in identifying discrepancies in member documentation and transactions-ensuring compliance with federal, state, and internal UKFCU regulations. You'll analyze and report on exceptions, promote operational excellence, and help safeguard UKFCU from risk and error. Your efforts support our commitment to delivering consistent, secure, and high-quality service to our members. What You'll Do Core Responsibilities
- File & Documentation Review: Evaluate new memberships, accounts, and loans to ensure compliance with UKFCU policies, federal and state laws, and industry regulations.
- Quality Checks: Conduct accurate and efficient QA reviews on selected products and file maintenance samples.
- Cross-Verification: Review internal documentation and core systems for accuracy, authority, and compliance.
- Exception Management: Identify and categorize discrepancies, analyze root causes, and recommend process improvements.
- Reporting: Produce and present exception reports for management action.
- Fraud Prevention: Monitor for potential fraud or negligence within retail and loan production areas
- Collaboration: Partner with teams across the organization to resolve issues, share knowledge, and support high-quality outcomes.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related responsibilities as needed to support the team and department.
Qualifications
Who You Are Experience & Education
- 2-5 years of related or similar experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills & Strengths
- Strong working knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, and general computer systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive, confidential data.
- Capable of solving problems and resolving member or internal concerns with professionalism.
- Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and group settings.
- Strong math and analytical skills, including working with rates, ratios, and percentages.
- Able to work independently and recognize when to escalate issues.
