Responsibilities

Financial Analysis

* Assist in coordinate development of annual capital and operating budgets, including multi-year projections and forecasts.

* Review financial data and perform research, analysis and interpretation of the results.

* Prepare and distribute internal reports and special requested reports ensuring the reports contain accurate financial, cost or budget data.

* Prepare analysis of various revenue and expense information to aid budgetary efforts, decision making or operational improvement initiatives.

* Prepare routine and ad hoc financial analyses to assist operations management in successful financial performance and development of strategic plans.

* Assist in the development of financial projections and assist with business plans for continued assessment of locations, services and lines of business.

* Provide assistance and education on financial concepts and the use of financial systems to the management team

* Collaborate with other UPH Finance, Analytic and Accounting teams as needed

* Provide status reports on a regular basis for assigned projects.

* Completes special projects and reports as assigned.

* Performs other duties as requested by supervisor to facilitate the smooth and effective operations of the department.


Qualifications

Education

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related area.

Experience

* Experience with various computer software applications utilizing spreadsheets, manipulating data and querying databases.

License(s)/Certification(s)

* Valid driver's license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

* Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and systems.

* Ability to relate to people in a manner to win confidence and establish support to meet the overall mission of the organization.

* Strong computer skills including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software applications.

* Requires highly developed communication skills to effectively work with all levels of management throughout UnityPoint Health, its subsidiaries and affiliates.

* Ability to be very detail oriented with the ability to manage incoming requests and provide reliable and timely responses.

* Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English
