Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrol

As a Security Officer - Armed Retail Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence for customers and staff. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry out your duties with professionalism and attention to detail. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents as needed, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication. Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and other security-related incidents within the retail environment.
• Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or hazards encountered during patrols.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site-specific policies.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have an Armed Designation for the position.
• Must have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military experience, or possess a college degree or 5+ years of Armed Security experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and meet AU Driver Policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification is required for Texas positions.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
