Location: Remote (ET hours) Duration: Contract to Hire Rate: Based on Experience Description: About the Role: Our client is a Value-Based Healthcare company seeking an experienced Lead/Architect Software Engineer with a strong background in healthcare application development to design, build, and optimize cutting-edge solutions in a fast-paced, cloud-based environment. This role requires deep expertise in Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, AWS, Python, and DevOps to lead development efforts, define architecture, and ensure the scalability, security, and performance of our applications. Key Responsibilities: * Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performance healthcare applications in compliance with industry standards (HIPAA, FHIR, HL7). * Lead and mentor engineering teams, driving best practices in software development, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure. * Develop and maintain backend services using Node.js and Python, ensuring robust API integrations. * Build and optimize modern web applications using React for an enhanced user experience. * Design and manage scalable databases using PostgreSQL, ensuring data integrity and security. * Implement and oversee cloud infrastructure on AWS, leveraging services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, and RDS. * Enhance DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform). * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, data engineers, and compliance specialists, to deliver high-impact solutions. Required Qualifications: * 10+ years of software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on backend and full-stack development. * Recent and extensive experience developing healthcare applications, with a deep understanding of industry standards like HIPAA, FHIR, HL7. * Expertise in Node.js, React, Python, and PostgreSQL for full-stack development. * Strong experience with AWS services and cloud architecture best practices. * Solid background in DevOps, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). * Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures. * Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make architectural decisions that align with business goals. * Experience leading engineering teams, conducting code reviews, and driving software best practices. * Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote and collaborative environment. Nice to Have: * Experience with serverless computing and event-driven architecture. * Familiarity with AI/ML applications in healthcare. * Knowledge of additional database technologies such as NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB). * Prior experience with healthcare data security and compliance auditing.
