We are now seeking an experienced and visionary Director of IT Technology to lead the modernization of our IT function within the Umovity Americas region.

This strategic leadership role is perfect for a forward-thinking technologist with expertise in infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP systems, and business process improvement. Reporting to the Head of IT and collaborating with the VP of Finance, the Director will focus on building a scalable IT structure, integrating systems, and driving digital modernization to improve operational alignment across multiple business units

DUTIES

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT transformation strategy aligned with Umovity Americas' business growth, security needs, and operational goals.
  • Modernize and standardize legacy systems to build a scalable, future-ready IT infrastructure.
  • Lead the successful migration and integration of ERP platforms (e.g., from Costpoint to Microsoft Dynamics), ensuring seamless data and process continuity.
  • Plan, oversee, and manage IT consolidation projects, including resource planning, project tracking, and cross-functional reporting.
  • Harmonize and consolidate core IT infrastructure, including service desk operations, virtualization, network systems, and Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Support and maintain application operations for enterprise tools such as Microsoft O365, D365, and SAP.
  • Design and implement robust cybersecurity strategies, disaster recovery, and business continuity programs in alignment with industry standards.
  • Ensure IT security compliance by establishing secure processes and proactively addressing risks associated with cloud operations and system integration.
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing IT team with clear goals, accountability, and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate across business units within Umovity Americas to unify systems, streamline IT governance, and improve service delivery.
  • Establish a cost-effective IT operating model focused on service quality, performance, and resource efficiency.
  • Guide organizational change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, translating complex IT initiatives into actionable outcomes that drive operational success.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with 3-5 years in a Director-level role.
  • Proven track record leading ERP transformations and digital modernization initiatives.
  • Strong experience in cybersecurity strategy and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Dynamics F&O, MRP, NetSuite, and cloud infrastructure platforms.
  • Experience with DevOps, enterprise application lifecycle management, and data integration.
  • Skilled at managing cross-functional teams and working with third-party vendors.
  • Relevant certifications a plus (e.g., CISM, CISSP, PMP, ITIL, Azure/AWS Solutions Architect).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, typically 6-8 hours per day, while working at a desk or computer.
  • Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling office tools or equipment.
  • Occasionally lifting or moving office supplies or equipment, typically weighing up to 20 pounds.

BUSINESS TRAVEL

  • Travel to project locations and company facilities across North America.

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this full-time exempt position is $160,000 - $180,000base + 10% discretionary bonus annually plus benefits. Pay ranges are determined by various factors, including role, experience, and location. The pay range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within the range, actual individual compensation is determined by various factors, including location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT

All candidates who accept employment will be subject to a background investigation and drug screening. For applicable roles, candidates who accept employment will also be subject to a Motor Vehicle/Driving Record screening.
