VP, Strategic Marketing, Market Access & Patient Support Services

A thorough understanding of market conditions and client needs is essential to develop effective strategies for Syneos and our customers. The role requires someone who is adept at leveraging research, data analysis, and market insights to craft compelling value propositions and solutions that resonate with customers and thought leadership to drive reputation and engagement. Establishing a framework that integrates these elements will be critical to identify opportunities for growth and innovation. Furthermore, the VP Strategic Marketing must be proactive in identifying new business opportunities and creating proposals that address the evolving needs of the market. This involves not only analyzing current capability gaps and market trends but also anticipating future developments to stay ahead of the competition.

The strategic marketing leader report into business development and work alongside both BD leadership and the business. They will lead a collaborative effort to segment our potential customers, identify market opportunities, build and communicate executable value propositions, generate leads, generate though leadership and build recommended solutions. The VP Strategic Marketing also will monitor and analyze marketing performance and provide insights and recommendations for strategic improvement to the business for execution. While this role won't individually own any accounts, it will be a key partner in much of the BD engagement at the customer level. The role will be responsible for shaping DS Market Access & Patient Solution Services marketing story, proactive targeting and partnering with the business to execute solutions in key accounts.

  • Lead, partnering with corporate marketing, the development of campaigns across multiple channels to generate awareness, interest, and leads for Market Access and Patient Support and new product offerings.
  • Work with internal agencies and subcontractors to ensure timely and quality delivery of marketing materials and services.
  • Partner with business intelligence and/or conduct market research and competitive analysis for proactive BD and identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive advantages for Syneos Deployment Solutions in existing and new product offerings.
  • Support the teams prioritized accounts for market access and patient support from a business development perspective (renewals, new business, etc.)
  • Ensure deployment solutions is ready for shift to specialty/rare disease and become outsourced market leader including strategy on closing talent, training, and capability gaps, and is ready for more complex integrated delivery of a cross commercial offering (pricing, strategy, and delivery model)
  • Ensure BD team is equipped to engage with customers by identifying training and content needs and collaborating cross functionally to get that delivered

IC/Goals:

    • BD Is about generating Awards from both new and existing clients. This role will be compensated on the attainment of Awards at an aggregate level across our Market Access and Patient Solutions Services Vertical. Targets are set for the team each year.
  • 25% MBOs
    • With Collaboration at the core, this role will be looked to actively Support BDers on market access and patient support proposals as an SME
    • Help with renewals and rebate structure design
    • Engage directly with customers alongside BD as needed
    • Proactive program redesign and proposals to maximize margin and capture unused PO dollars to drive more business
    • Identifying new opportunities
    • Strategic partnership with business and customer
    • Generate marketing thought leadership, message flow, value propositions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, masters degree preferred.
  • At least 15+ years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years of marketing experience, 5 years in outsourced deployment solutions and 7 years of market access and patient support with focused experiences supporting mass market and specialty therapies. Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles, tools, and channels
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills, with the ability to create and deliver compelling and engaging marketing content and materials.
  • Creative, analytical, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to identify market opportunities, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented, and customer-focused mindset, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and other marketing software and tools.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $236,340.to $320,600. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
