DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Legal Office Administrator 1, you will perform advanced administrative and professional legal support work within the Office of Chief Counsel. You will track and process contracts and incoming assignments, electronically file legal documents with appropriate courts, and recommend contracting process improvements. You will also make travel arrangements, pay office invoices, and prepare procurement requests. This role involves handling sensitive and confidential matters consistent with attorney-client privilege and the ability to support the Chief Counsel by performing key planning and reporting functions. In addition, you will answer incoming calls, open and distribute mail, maintain office supplies and equipment, and serve as timekeeper by tracking employee leave time. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, three days per week in the office and 2 days per week teleworking. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of varied office management or staff work within a public or private legal office.
Additional Requirements:
- You must have experience in a legal office setting.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Understanding and knowledge of basic legal office duties
Legal Requirements:
- The selected candidate will be subject to a background investigation by Pennsylvania State Police.
- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
