Summary: The Performance Excellence Clinician II will guide operational best practices aligned with clinical standards within a hospital environment, actively participating in developing and implementing process improvement plans. Collaborating with experienced Performance Excellence Team Members, the Performance Excellence Clinician II identifies potential patient safety risks and explores opportunities for improving operations while integrating them with clinical workflows. This role extends to engaging with organizational stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of process improvements and alignment with patient care goals. Responsibilities:
- Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
- Identifies root causes of healthcare-related issues and collaborates with IE to execute corrective actions.
- Summarizes and present gap analyses of patient care and operational efficiency at various organizational levels.
- Collaborates with healthcare professionals and the PET to plan future clinical and operational development.
- Supports applying Lean principles to identify efficiency and waste reduction opportunities in healthcare processes.
- Identifies barriers to success and implement changes to enhance patient care processes.
- Facilitates operational improvement activities with healthcare associates to enhance patient care experiences.
- Validates healthcare data analysis to ensure accuracy and reliability in the clinical context.
- Utilizes analytics to identify areas of improvement, focusing on patient care and operational efficiency.
- Proposes and develops performance metrics specific to healthcare operations and provides feedback to the management team.
- Researches and benchmarks healthcare topics and industry standards, providing clinical insights for continuous improvement.
- Plays a crucial role in understanding the clinical implications of data, recommending changes to improve patient experiences, and ensuring that process improvements align with clinical standards and patient safety goals.
- Supports multiple large-scale projects through the entire project life cycle.
- Manages projects as assigned by the department leadership team.
- Utilizes performance excellence and project management tools for initiatives to ensure documentation of work performed.
- Actively participates in other special projects and performs other job duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Education/Skills
Experience
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- Clinical license is required (RN or LVN).
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and Lean Six Sigma preferred.
