Job Description:Under the direction of the Vice President of Service Lines, the Executive Director of Neurosciences and Orthopedics supports and promotes the mission and philosophy of John Muir Health. Provides leadership for planning, developing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the system-wide Neuroscience and Orthopedic service lines resulting in market responsiveness, high-quality outcomes, and cost-effective performance. Works with medical staff and department leadership to ensure that the goals for patient care, quality, and business objectives are met. Assists with daily operations related to patient access, flow, and logistics. Will provide highly visible leadership to the workforce and foster a culture that values and demonstrates clinical excellence, staff empowerment, and continuing professional development. The Executive Director will lead the effort to standardize care delivery, improve clinical quality and outcomes across the Region; reduce clinical and practice variation; improve operations and financial performance; and develop and implement key strategies. The director works collaboratively with the Physician dyads. The Director will assist in the development and success of new programs within the scope of authority. Develop and implement services and program strategies that provide an exceptional patient-centered experience with a seamless care delivery system and innovative care models to improve quality outcomes. Coordinate and project manage all improvement activities related to the entire Neuro, Ortho, Stroke, and Spine program, including those within the JMH hospitals, and collaborating with those taking place in the OP setting.
Such improvement activities include developing and monitoring protocols and clinical pathways, order sets, and collecting quality metrics in collaboration with the physician champions. Support the development and implementation of new and existing programs in neurosciences and orthopedics throughout the organization and with external partners. This includes internal and external collaboration with other departments and physicians to facilitate efficient and effective operational business strategies. Pay Range: $236,204.00 - $354,306.00 SalaryOffer amounts are based on
demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
