Tenure faculty (regardless of rank) - persons with the titles of professor, associate professor, assistant professor and instructor who serve on appointments totaling 50% or more service to the university and who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty members tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service and/or teaching or clinical practice. These faculty will have earned doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possession of equivalent experience.

Faculty Radiology, Translational Biomedical Imaging Research

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center are seeking faculty in translational biomedical imaging research. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.

Position Overview
The Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University (OSU) is seeking experienced candidates for tenure-track faculty positions in translational biomedical imaging research at the rank of associate or full professor. Rank and startup package are commensurate with academic record and experience. The OSU College of Medicine and Department of Radiology have made significant commitments towards expanding medical imaging research and are seeking outstanding candidates in the field of neuroimaging who are dedicated to advancing translational research and innovation, committed to education, and inspire inclusive excellence. He/she/they will contribute to the Departments ambition while upholding the organizations mission and values.
We are specifically seeking candidates with interest in translational research in MRI and/or molecular imaging applications in neuroscience.

Department/Division Overview
The Department of Radiology is rapidly growing, with expanded services at off-site imaging centers, and renovations to our existing clinical spaces and new spaces through the medical center strategic expansion project ($3+ Billion):

• Main campus: New construction of a state-of-the-art 830-bed hospital tower, a biomedical research tower, and a Health Sciences building that will house the College of Medicine

• Around the city: Construction of 2 newly designed ambulatory care centers in New Albany and Dublin now completed and open in addition to 16 established ambulatory care centers up and running today

The Department of Radiology has over 70 faculty members and a large array of imaging facilities on the main OSU campus and at multiple satellite clinics across central Ohio, conducive to clinical research. The Wright Center of Innovation in Biomedical Imaging houses imaging research faculty and an array of imaging equipment, including Siemens 0.55T Free.Max, 3T Vida, and Philips 3T MRI systems, plus a Philips Vereos PET/CT scanner. The newly opened Carmenton Innovation District includes the Pelotonia Research Center and James Outpatient Care Center that houses Ohios first proton therapy center. Construction is also underway on a state-of-the-art 830-bed hospital tower, a biomedical research tower, and a Health Sciences building that will house the College of Medicine.

Duties and Responsibilities
Successful candidates are expected to develop and lead an independent research program and participate in institutional efforts to translate novel imaging technologies and methodologies into clinical practice. They are expected to secure grant funding, mentor trainees, and work collaboratively with investigators across the College of Medicine and the university.

Requirements
Senior level appointment requires an established history of research accomplishment and grant funding, as well as active grants. Successful applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Physics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline, with scientific collaboration and research interests in the following areas:

• Translational research in MRI and/or molecular imaging applications in neuroscience.

Faculty Defined
Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned a doctor of medicine (MD), doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal career focus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching, and/or research.

Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, or professor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Their primary career focus centers on research, service, and teaching. Tenure-track faculty with MD or MD/PhD degrees may also be involved in clinical care.

Research Faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. These faculty will have earned a doctorate (PhD) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Research faculty members are not eligible for tenure and are appointed for terms of one to five years. Their principal career focus is research.
