We're seeking a future team member for the role of Production Services Support Engineer to join our Global Fund Accounting Technology team. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA or Lake Mary, FL - (4 days in office required). In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Previous production support experience is a must ideally within Finance or Banking will be added advantage.
- Ability to handle day-to-day support activities for applications and overnight batches.
- Responsible for providing technical and functional support to internal and external clients.
- Trouble shooting skills for resolve incidents and problems.
- Provision of a rapid response to customer incidents/requests where appropriate.
- Participation in root cause analysis efforts and trends, assist in building
- Maintenance of Issues logs, knowledge base articles and documentation.
- Close interaction with Application Development teams, other production support teams and various stakeholders within the organization.
- Client support, Track client issues, troubleshoot/research application issues are the essential functions required. Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Well-organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize with minimal supervision. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to understand and communicate concepts quickly, succinctly, and accurately. Demonstrated aptitude for mastering new software applications.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial. 6-8 years of diverse experience in information technology required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Good experience with Windows and other operating systems such as Unix. PL/SQL experience is required.
- Experience working with helpdesk ticketing - Service Now. Well versed on ITIL process. Experience with monitoring tools like Moogsoft and logging tools such as Splunk.
- Knowledge of Automation tools such as CICD Pipeline and any Jobs Scheduling tools.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge, Understanding and experience around documentation in Confluence or SharePoint.
- Previous or current development experience using
- Microsoft .Net (C# (preferable) or VB.Net)
- Web Development (Microsoft ASP.Net, MVC, Microsoft .Net Core)
- Angular
- Desktop applications (C#, VB.Net, VB6 etc)
- 3 Tier architecture
- Multi-threading
- Windows Services
- Job scheduling such as ESP/Tivoli job scheduling products.
- SQL (stored procedures, functions etc.)
